  • He started out in junior hockey with the Quebec Citadelles from 1950-52. Cline then turned pro with the Valleyfield Braves of the Quebec Hockey League from 1953-55. A great season with the Providence Reds of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 1955-56 got him into 30 games with the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League. That was his first, and last stint in the NHL. After that, he played 11 seasons in the AHL, retiring in 1968. In his 30 NHL games, Cline scored 2 goals and 3 assists.
