  • UNSC Navy Hymn
rdfs:comment
  • The hymn follows the same music and structure as Eternal Father, Strong to Save, a 19th Century-era Earth hymn associated with the Royal Navy and the United States Navy. The original hymn was written by William Whiting of Winchester, England, in 1860. It was originally intended as a poem for a student of his, who was about to travel to the United States. The hymn recieved many different additional verses over time, associated with, among other things, the United States Air Force, the United States Marine Corps, submariners, and space travel. After the founding of the United Nations Navy during the Interplanetary War, the UN Navy wrote a new verse for the hymn shown below, which was later adopted by the UNSC Navy.
