  • A merger clause (also called an integration clause or entirety clause) is a provision in a contract that states that it is the complete and final agreement between the parties. Such a term prevents different or additional terms from being considered by a court to be part of the contract. A contract that has such a clause is deemed an integrated contract, and any previous negotiations in which the parties to the contract had considered different terms will be deemed superseded by the final writing.
