In 1940-41 they made their one and only Allan Cup appearance, losing a tough final to the Regina Rangers. From 1942-43 to 1944-45 military teams took over the Cape Breton league. The Millionaires came back after the war in 1945-46. They won three straight Cape Breton and Maritimes titles from 1948 to 1950. In 1950-51 the Cape Breton Senior Hockey League went to Major status. The Millionaires won the title and made it to the Alexander Cup semi final. The Cape Breton Major Hockey League folded after one season and the Millionaires moved to the Maritime Major Hockey League. That lasted for three seasons until this league folded under heavy financial losses, It took two years for the Cape Breton Senior Hockey League to revive. The new version of the Millionaires won the league title in 1957,1960, & 1964. The league went down to just two teams in 1964-65. It finally folded for good after that season.
