Synopsis
  • While the Hulk sadly walks the city remembering Jarella, a group of bandits attacks a jailhouse with a special tank. They rescue a friend and on their way out, they accidentally hit the green giant . Hulk gets mad and destroys the tank. The cops arrive but Hulk leaps away and rests in an alley, turning into Banner. Meanwhile at the jailhouse, a broken water pipe wets a paper box that was kept in another cell. Inside the box there's the Absorbing Man! The villain is able to break free from jail. On another side of New York, Bruce rents an apartment to a nice girl called April Sommers. After meeting April, Bruce feels his life will change dramatically. And refuses to turn into the Hulk ever again. He's sure April is the magic formula his life needed for so long. Chatting with April, they watch a TV news update about the Absorbing Man's rampage. But as they watch it, the villain vanishes in mid air. In an obscure place, the Absorbing Man is welcomed by a strange group of three characters who call themselves "Them". They tell the Absorbing Man that they were the ones who freed him from his cell. Them ask the Absorbing Man to kill the Hulk in exchange of their favor. The strongman accepts the task. Meanwhile, a very ill blond and long haired man is found near Gamma Base. Doc Samson takes him in for medical care.
