  • Sledgehammer Bro. is one of the first of the Hammer Bro. species to appear. He was one of the first Fantendo characters after That One Series With a Long and Uninteresting Name That I Do Not Wish to Remember. In a way, he was much like Mr. Game & Watch. Back in his first (and only) game, his body was all pitch black with a gray outline outside his body, and he moved in frame-by-frame movement, like Mr. G&W. But in the game Fantendo Smash Bros. Rumble (Sledgehammer Bro.'s Smash debut), Fantendo totally revamped his image. But he still moved frame-by-frame.

Having the name Sledgehammer Bro., he uses a hammer as a weapon on his adventures. He is able to change the hammer's form, shape, and size to make it look like the hammers that the Ice Climbers use. Sledgehammer Bro. has a greatly accurate ability of throwing lots of hammers. They are like boomerangs; when Sledgehammer Bro. throws one, it'll travel a moderate distance that change direction and come back to him. Sledgehammer Bro. can change his hammer to make it look sort of like the Ice Climbers' hammers. With a new hammer but more weight, he becomes a little slower and heavier. When he swings this hammer upward, you may notice that his feet leave the ground. This is because that since Sledgehammer Bro. swings the hammer so fast and the hammer is so heavy, it carries him a few inches off the ground. This never happened in the Hammer Bro.'s first game, but in the Fantendo Smash Bros. games, it became pretty noticable.
