  • A Datamass is a Corpus data storage device. They are affected by physics and behave like other loot drops. It is possible to blast a Datamass away with explosive weapons such as the Ogris. When a datamass is picked up, the carrier will automatically switch to their secondary weapon. If they switch to their primary weapon or melee weapon, they will drop the datamass. Pistols and quick melee attacks can always be used with datamasses in hand, regardless of whether or not they are two-handed/akimbo.

Datamasses stack, therefore one player can carry all datamasses as a single unit. Up to a maximum of 8 datamasses can be collected in a mission, assuming that players get another Spy mission as a secondary objective. For every new datamass that is claimed, a different LED will light up on each corner, starting with blue for the first four datamasses picked up, then changing to green for any additional datamasses collected past that.
