  • Charles Pearce (c.1889 - 5 October 1982) was a school teacher and local politician. He was at various times a Governor of Dulwich College from 1945-73, Alleyn's School, James Allen's Girls' School and St. Dunstan's College and Chairman of The Dulwich Estate Governors from 1958-1960. He was at different times President and General Secretary of the London Teachers' Association, part of the National Union of Teachers. He was awarded the OBE in the New Years' Honours 1952 for "political and public services in London".

  • Charles Pearce (c.1889 - 5 October 1982) was a school teacher and local politician. He was at various times a Governor of Dulwich College from 1945-73, Alleyn's School, James Allen's Girls' School and St. Dunstan's College and Chairman of The Dulwich Estate Governors from 1958-1960. He was at different times President and General Secretary of the London Teachers' Association, part of the National Union of Teachers. Was a member of the London County Council representing Camberwell, Dulwich from November 1938 when he was elected unopposed to fill a vacant seat until 1958. He sat as a Municipal Reform Party councillor until 1946 when the Municipal Reformers adopted the Conservative Party label. He held the position of Deputy Chairman of the London County Council for 1949 – 1950. He was awarded the OBE in the New Years' Honours 1952 for "political and public services in London". A vice-president of the Dulwich Society, he died at St Christopher's Hospice, Sydenham, aged 93, and donated his body to science.
