Jenkins was also one of the most renowned general officers on the base, due to being the first to command troops in actual war, rather than in exercises. When he commanded troops in the Battle Of Earth, he came up with the "Jenkins Pincer", where he used quick attack aircraft to push back the Covenant troops, then encircled them with his soldiers, crushed them with artillery fire, and then used aircraft to fire missiles into the CCS Class Battlecruiser's gravity lift, destroying it. After the Human-Covenant War, during the U.S.-UNSC War, Jenkins was responsible for the air campaign against the UNSC, which was the pivotal battlefield of the war.
