| abstract | - Yuzu Kurosaki is a female Quincy born to the pureblood Quincy Masaki Kurosaki and a pureblood Shinigami Isshin Kurosaki; even though she is a half blood, she appears to have only inherited powers from her mother, while her sister and brother, Karin Kurosaki and Ichigo Kurosaki respectively, inherited their father's powers. It took her powers awhile to awaken, but once they finally did she began to aid Karin in protecting Karakura Town when Ichigo began traveling around the world as a Substitute Shinigami.
