| Desirability | - They are useful to all players since better sources of paralyzation resistance are very rare - only certain artifacts can otherwise provide this resistance. Paralyzation, as caused by the attacks of a ghul or mimic, can very easily lead to the death of the PC, especially at lower levels. It can be obtained as a permanent intrinsic from a pool; in such a case, the amulet will be unnecessary.
It is noteworthy that wearing one also negates the increased energy cost for swimming through water, acting in the Water Dragon Cave, and moving over snow and ice in the Ice Queen Domain.
