  • Soon after, he joined the Jedi Order, becoming the Padawan to Exini Orisi. Tyree and Exini traveled together on many missions in the ensuing decade. In the warning days of the Empire, Tyree was involved in the rising violence on Kashyyyk of the Mando'ade, and the two fought at the Battle of Ilum, the beginning of the forthcoming Wars. In the midst of these events, Tyree also endured the loss of his Master to the Dark Side of the Force and Tyree left the Jedi Order soon after the battle, despite the Jedi Council's offer of more Jedi training. Tyree fought in the future Wars under the alias of "Ignika" and became a Gray Jedi, taking his own secret apprentice. Throughout the conflict, Tyree became famous to the public. Tyree and his secret Apprentice, despite not being a Jedi, gained recognition as a formidable pair. Despite this, he carried with him a belief in the Jedi Order in addition to great fame. This was shown in a battle against Sith regiments, when he called upon the Jedi Order an fought alongside them on Rhen Var. He also learned that his secret Apprentice would soon betray him and join the Sith Order. His inability to accept death and experiences of agonizing visions of his death led to his downfall when, soon after, he turned to the Dark Side, believing that it was the only way to gain immortality. Apprenticed to Lord Kamari, better known as Dark Lord Drakos Kamari, and he became Sith Apprentice "Maelstrom", after he led an extermination on the Gray Jedi, with fewer than a twenty surviving. Two of the survivors were Skye Vin Arthos and Tyree's old secret apprentice. Tyree dueled his old apprentice on the moon of Yavin IV and despite the Sith Apprentice's new abilities, he was defeated by his old apprentice, and his secret Apprentice stripped him of his Lightsaber and stranded him on the moon. His children, Tycho and Cryx, were born at this time, though Tyree remained unaware of their existence. As a stranded wilder, Tyree became a skilled survivalist, continuing the training in the Dark Side of the Force. An corrupt soul of the Dark Lord's will, Tyree was constantly on the move, traveling throughout Yavin IV to drain the essence of life or defeat beasts. When Tyree began planning to leave Yavin IV, he found, manipulated, and trained a "secret" Ewok apprentice to not only hunt down dangerous beasts, but to rule the moon. However, Tyree's planning lead him to turn to the Light Side of the Force, before destroying an Ewok village with his secret apprentice, and attempting to sacrifice his life for his secret apprentice. His olden friends, Kendrick and Relcho, were on Yavin IV at this time, though Tyree remained unaware of their existence, until Tyree attempted to sacrifice his life, thus causing the Jedi to intervene with the skirmish. In resolution between the attackers and Ewok, Kendrick and Relcho, convinced Tyree to turn back to the Light Side of the Force for good. Tyree agreed to turn back to the Light Side of the Force and spent the next several years traveling with Relcho. Tyree eventually returned to the Jedi Order and manifested great potential, apprenticed before the fall of Exini. Tyree quickly befriended Jedi Knight Encon Rimsan and became his Padawan. Tyree fought the Sith in the Battle of Malastare while concocting a plan to turn his body into a pure manifestation of Light Side of the Force. Soon after the Battle of Malastare, Tyree, unaware of their existence, dueled his two children, and learned that he was their father, which Tyree refused to believe. Although, Tyree continued to train in the Jedi way, this time, becoming a Jedi Knight, under Encon's recommendation. He learnt that he would soon leave the Jedi Order, experiencing visions of a true destiny. Despite this, he carried with him a great sense of benevolence in addition to great fear. This was shown at the fringe of Ilum when he met Noldur Tryte when he defended the Mandalorian inhabitants alongside Noldur. His inability to control these traits led to his downfall, when, soon after, he was tortured by finding the Jensaarai, believing that it was the truth in the Force. Tortured by Noldur, better known as the Saarai Kaar, he portrayed studious behavior, founding the Jedi Library, and becoming the Jedi Sage Master. As a Sage Master, Tyree became the primary instructor of the Jedi, continuing his professional and private studies in the Force which would last until Tyree was exiled due to becoming a Gray Jedi
