  • Firing squad is a Good Karma side mission in InFamous 2.
  • A firing squad was a group that would be designated to carry out an execution. This would be done by having the person to be executed stand against a wall, tied to a post, or something similar and be shot with a rifle, musket, or phaser. Q and Kathryn Janeway faced execution by firing squad during the Q Civil War in the Q Continuum. However, crewmembers from USS Voyager intervened and saved them. (VOY: "The Q and the Grey")
  • Firing Squad was formed in the early 1980's by former members of Fallout, singer Mark Antoni D'Amico and bassist Tony Brehmer, Damien guitarist Dean Arndt, and drummer Steve "The Lid" Mueller. The band recorded a six-song demo around 1986 which was shopped the following year by Eric Greif. Greif had secured distribution with Restless/Enigma Records and the band was scheduled to record at Electric Lady in New York, but their financial backer pulled out and the deal fell apart. Brehmer left the band and moved to Los Angeles in 1987 to join Nitro, who had some national success. D'Amico left the band to join local band Realm, managed by Greif, who soon after got a record deal with Roadrunner Records.

D'Amico left the band to join local band Realm, managed by Greif, who soon after got a record deal with Roadrunner Records. In 1988, Arndt and Mueller found bassist Jerry Richter from Madison and nineteen year-old, relatively unknown singer Ron Kujawa. The band reworked some of the old material from the original lineup and started writing new songs while doing the local club scene. They recorded a new demo with Greif, of which two songs found their way on to the compilation album At the foot of brutality, released in 1990 on the Mexican label Avanzada Metalica; Kujawa's younger brother John painted the cover. By 1990, the music scene had changed considerably and 80s metal was no longer en vogue. Arndt and Mueller were no longer happy with Kujawa, and Kujawa was no longer happy with the band. After Kujawa split, Arndt, Mueller and Richter regrouped with a new singer, Morgan-John Gerk (Morgan Thorn), to form High Treason. Gerk later went on to enjoy wider success with Vicious Rumors.
