  • The Wolf Raiders were a pirate organization that operated out of Balgus Star. The organization was considered unusual, in that its membership was drawn entirely from a single Near-Human race. More unusually, the race was never encountered anywhere outside of the Wolf Raiders organization. Only male Wolf Raiders became warriors and participated in assaults. Female Wolf Raiders were limited to non-combatant roles. For some unknown reason, Wolf Raiders all wore wigs. It was suspected that the size and quality of wig was representative of social standing or rank.

  • The Wolf Raiders were a pirate organization that operated out of Balgus Star. The organization was considered unusual, in that its membership was drawn entirely from a single Near-Human race. More unusually, the race was never encountered anywhere outside of the Wolf Raiders organization. (The near-human race in question, usually only identified as "Wolf Raiders" differed only in cosmetic detail. They had more powerful musculature and more efficient cardiovascular systems, which made them stronger and tougher than regular humans. Their only external difference was paler skin tones then the human norm. The origin of the species was obscure, which suggested that they may have been a product of genetic engineering) Only male Wolf Raiders became warriors and participated in assaults. Female Wolf Raiders were limited to non-combatant roles. For some unknown reason, Wolf Raiders all wore wigs. It was suspected that the size and quality of wig was representative of social standing or rank. The Wolf Raiders used squads of starfighters to hit their targets. A typical operation would have them blow past any military targets, instead concentrating on civilian areas to sow chaos and throw off any defenders. Once the local population was significantly shaken up, ground forces would land and begin systematic looting of the target area. The Wolf Raiders did not distinguish between civilians and combatants; in fact, attacking civilians was encouraged to spread panic. Wolf Raider law was considered harsh and strict. If a Wolf Raider was slain by another, then the slain Raider's nearest living relative was to hunt down and kill the slayer. That relative was not to rest until they had avenged their kin.
