He is perhaps most well-known as the creator of a four-panel comic strip Lucky ☆ Star which has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Comptiq magazine since January 2004. He is also credited for creating Comptiq's mascot character Comp-chan(コンプちゃんKonpu-chan). He was proposed to by a male twice in a signing trip to Taiwan, who was a user of the PTT net with the user name WAHAHA99. In volume 6 of the manga he apologized, claiming he likes females.
