It follows the events in the life of Kasuki Roko, a young ninja in a odd, steampunk based enviroment. Ninja Saga had two movies, Ninja Saga: For Answer, and Ninja Saga: Wrath of the Jinn, along with a TV special, Ninja Saga: The First Shinobi. In 2012 the series's first three seasons will be remastered in Ninja Saga Origins. Ninja Saga ran on multiple networks before being canceled after the sixth season. The other three will be remastered in DVD and Blue-Ray form.
- Al principio del juego, se puede observar como un ninja roba un pergamino al igual que Naruto Uzumaki (en la serie), luego es emboscado y asaltado por un grupo de ninjas de desconocida procedencia. Es un juego en el cual tienes que crear un personaje e ir aumentando de nivel a través de combates, con los que podrás desbloquear y comprar jutsus, armas y ropa. También subiendo de nivel puedes desbloquear los exámenes para convertirte en Chūnin, Jōnin, Tokubetsu Jōnin y esto conlleva a tener mejores jutsus.

Es un juego en el cual tienes que crear un personaje e ir aumentando de nivel a través de combates, con los que podrás desbloquear y comprar jutsus, armas y ropa. También subiendo de nivel puedes desbloquear los exámenes para convertirte en Chūnin, Jōnin, Tokubetsu Jōnin y esto conlleva a tener mejores jutsus. Comienzas como un Genin (lv 1-20) que debe ir cumpliendo misiones, y al llegar al nivel veinte puedes realizar el examen Chūnin que consta de tres partes: una escrita, una de lucha y la última es una invasión a la aldea en donde debes luchar en conjunto con tus maestros. Cuando pasas este examen debes llegar al nivel cuarenta para realizar el examen Jōnin. El principal objetivo del juego es ir superando niveles para llegar a convertirte en uno de los mejores ninjas de la aldea.
