  • The Huelers first operated as their own entity in February of 2118, when they broke off from a roaming clan. They wandered the streets of Pierre shortly before being forced to seek shelter in a nearby building. They found the lobby almost as cold but the elevators surprisingly intact. They rode it up to the third floor and huddled in an intact office. They spent the rest of that winter scavenging and exploring the building.

abstract
  • The Huelers first operated as their own entity in February of 2118, when they broke off from a roaming clan. They wandered the streets of Pierre shortly before being forced to seek shelter in a nearby building. They found the lobby almost as cold but the elevators surprisingly intact. They rode it up to the third floor and huddled in an intact office. They spent the rest of that winter scavenging and exploring the building. When spring came they announced themselves with a bold raid on one of the few caravans that operated in the ruins, more out of hunger than desire for fame. They would be pursued by a small group of the caravan guards, having managed to grab to cases of jerky, and ran into the Hueler Building. Here they would lead the guards on a two-hour chase through the basements of the building, killing half of the posse by the time they were done. That would spread their name around to the other civilized communities, though it wouldn't help them much, as the Hueler Gang continued to raid for the rest of year, stopping only when snow came. When spring of 2119 arrived however, they picked up from where they left off. This process would continue for the next six years, until they gained the attention of the Torches, a large clan. Having been targeted by the Huelers, the Torches set an ambush and waited. To their misfortune, the Huelers took the bait, attacking the wagon head on. This was the only signal the Torches needed, who then cut them down with a hail of bullets. They then went to the Hueler Building and looted it, before setting it ablaze.
