As the resulting battle escalated with the unexpected arrival of Sith reinforcements, he realized that his Padawan's abilities with battle meditation had suddenly matured, as she had gone into meditation of her own accord. In the wake of the Republic victory, he was able to explain this to the senior officers of Hetton's task force. Eventually, Wellir returned to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine, where he was one of the few Jedi to escape the Sith orbital bombardment and invasion. Years later, he was eventually tracked down and killed by Sith assassins during the First Jedi Purge, without ever having known about what the Dantooine Enclave Council had done with Revan, or his former apprentice's involvement with the former Dark Lord.
