Following that, Lindsey subsequently a member of staff for both SECNAV Edward Sheffield as well as Sheffield's predecessor, former SECNAV Alexander Nelson. However, in April 2003, Lindsey was left disgraced and ultimately imprisoned after it was revealed that he was responsible for the death of former JAG member, Lieutenant Loren Singer.
