He is "a tall, round-faced boy with a dark complexion and long black hair"; he is an Indian, likely a Navajo, from Dinétah. He was likely the "eleventh-grader" named John who told the newly-arrived sixth-graders in September 2007 that it had "been almost ten years since the last kid fell off" of the Invisible Bridge. During the 2008-2009 school year, he was one of the leaders of the Mors Mortis Society, and believed by Maximilian King to be in contact with "real Dark wizards" in the Dark Convention. In November 2008, he ordered Tomo Matsuzaka and Darla Dearborn to bring him other students' familiars, to use in a ceremony to curse their owners. When Alexandra Quick interfered, he performed the Cruciatus Curse on her, three times, before King stopped him. In September 2010, he may have met with Gertrude in the Goblin Market before disappearing into Muggle Chicago. The conversation was witnessed by Quick, who recognized Manuelito despite his "long, black hair." His Animagus form is that of a large black raven.
