She commands Ichabod to kill Lief and it is transformed into giant spider by Thaegan's magic. As Lief was about to be killed by Ichabod's web, Jasmine comes from nowhere and injures Ichabod. Thaegan not believing what has happened, tries to kill the trio by herself but suddenly get collapsed when Lief shows her the mirror of fear. Seeing herself as old and ugly sack of bones. Thaegan makes a last spell to kill herself. Her children (except Ichabod) not wanting to live with her mother, come with her. In the end she gives a loving speech to her children till the portal disappears. In the end Lief is furious and wants to put an end to Shadow Lord.
