In 1917 he was appointed Stipendiary Magistrate for the County Borough of West Ham, and in 1922 made a Metropolitan Police Magistrate. He sat at Greenwich and Woolwich until 1925 when he moved to the West London Police Court. In November 1927 he was injured in a motor accident, dying from his injuries in a nursing home in March of the following year. Some information here [1]
