Jirachi is infamous for only appearing once a year for several days around Tanabata, a holiday in Japan associated with wish-making, as a reference to the Wish Pokémon. Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus (Incarnate forms) are known for have increasing catchability as days pass. Their events usually last a week, so they will have an initial catchability on Tuesday when the event begins, and max potential catchability on Monday when the event ends.
