One time on Mata Nui, the Lightstone Mine was cut off from the workers by an unexpected lava breach, thus causing Onu-Koro's work to come to a slow crawl because no one could see. Torches were instead used during the crisis. Later, thanks to the efforts of wandering amnesiac Takua, the mine was reachable again and work continued.
