Apparently, he lacked any of his memories or personality from before, seeking only to sate his hunger. He feasted on donated blood at the Chartervile blood drive before running into Nukus. He planned to drink his blood, but Nukus instead offered to give him what he's always wanted: to feast on the Beetleborgs. He then fought them while they tried to bring back his real self. Once Mums was rescued from Nukus' clutches, the spell was reversed thus turning Fangula back to normal in the midst of his battle with the Beetleborgs.
