| abstract | - Few who look at Asami would believe her to be a powerful ninja. Although Asami is both taller and learner than many of her female peers, she greatly resembles an overgrown child. Her long brown hair often flows around her upper body untamed, constantly getting in her way and being brushed back into place. Though rarely expressing it out loud, Akami hates her hair and often makes faces displaying her agitation when moving the long strands away from her face. Her large brown eyes display her cheerful and uplifting attitude, almost radiating positive emotion. A single look into Asami's eyes and even some of the most stubborn of people are powerless against her gentle stare. Asami's attire reflects her childish and bubbly nature just as much as her facial features. Asami typically wears a simple cap, given to her by her mother in her preteen years. For almost 9 years the cap has sat atop Asami's head, now being one of her signature items and something she is known for throughout Konohagakure. Akami's attire consists of a dark top that covers her shoulders and upper arms over a long sleeved pink shirt, topped off with a large ruby on top of her breasts. When engaging on combat, Asami typically removes the small dark top, often hiding items such as kunai and explosives inside and using them for her opening attack, sometimes even just using the top itself as a distraction. The bottom half of Asami's attire consists of a knee length skirt over a pair of maroon colored pants. The simple attire is both functional, as it provides Asami with full range of motion, and fashionable, as it goes well with her signature color scheme of contrasting light and dark colors. Asami's feet are often protected by a pair of knee high boots that protect Asami's skin behind a layer of armor like fabric, again being considered both fashionable and functional.
