| abstract | - Gordon Langford-Rowe (1936 - 29th August 2007) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:
* Mr Lennox, a consultant at Weatherfield General who in July 1992 advised Don Brennan that he would need to amputate his lower right leg
* George Docherty, the brother-in-law of Anthony Stephens in November 2000 and February 2001
* Pigeon fancier Ron Hepplewhite between November and December 2004. After training as a primary school teacher he taught at Brownedge St. Mary's RC in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire for thirty years and took up acting in 1992 at Manchester Polytechnic School of Theatre, graduating at the age of 56. His other credits include roles in Frank Stubbs, All Quiet on the Preston Front, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates, Casualty, Cold Feet, Last of the Summer Wine, Heartbeat, Emmerdale, The Royal, Twisted Tales and Doctors, along with the films The Advocate, The Tichborne Claimant and Blow Dry. On screen he has appeared in productions of The Wizard of Oz, Hamlet (Broadway), I Have Been Here Before, Maybe Tomorrow - Write#2, She Stoops to Conquer, Dreaming, Romeo and Juliet and The Magistrate. A play entitled The Actor's Apology, a single-hander originally adapted and written for the actor, opened at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, North Yorkshire on 19th April 2014.
