  • The Imperial Assault Armored Transport, abbreviated IA-AT, was a large walker used by the Dark Empire around 251 ABY as a replacement for the All Terrain Armored Transport. It was much larger, and head additional turrets on other parts of the walker, not just the command cabin like it's AT-AT counterpart. The IA-AT saw heavy use during the Triumvirate Civil War. It was originally being developed by the engineering corps of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate, however, the development began weeks before the war broke out, splitting the Triumvirate between the Alliance of Free Worlds and the Empire. Agents of the Empire destroyed the few prototypes and blueprints of the IA-AT that the Alliance had.
