He is a skilled martial artist and commander, having almost mastered Earth Dragon Style. At the time of Largo's banishment, he was the only one who sided with his nephew. He is also an Acquaintance of Inner Flame Rises, who initiated him into Celestial Martial Arts. In combat, Brolo prefers to observe his opponent's moves and strike only when he is sure of hitting. He also bears a Sand Body Stone, an Earth-aspected Hearthstone that allows him to melt into sand at a small mote cost.
