He is known for being one of a very small handful of Makuta to survive the demise of the Celestials. Teridax was the source of evil power in the Galaxy for hundreds of millenia. It was he who impregnated the Sith Purebloods of Korriban with the dark side of the force. For millenia, Teridax was also the guardian of the Eliminator, a evil celestial weapon capable of destroying stars and creating black holes. This weapon he would later hand down to the Sith.

Teridax is also credited with using the eliminator to destroy one if not both of the stars in the Nemtox System, and then poisoning the planet (and eventually the entire system ) with the dark side of the force. Makuta Teridax has almost never appeared in public, and rarely ventured out of the unknown regions. There are a few times, however, when Teridax has moved into the eastern galactic hemisphere. Throughout history there have been occasional clashes between Makuta, the Sith and the Jedi .
