  • Lieutenant-Colonel Arthur Bellamy (1869-6 January 1956) was an army officer and local politician. He was the eldest son of Sir Joseph Arthur Bellamy of Plymouth, (1845-1918). During the First World War he saw service in the Royal Field Artillery, reaching the rank of lieutenant-colonel. He settled in Putney, and became a member of the local Wandsworth Borough Council. He was Mayor of Wandsworth in 1930-32. He was appointed a Deputy-Lieutenant of the County of London in 1935. He died at his Sussex home in 1956, aged 86.

In 1934 he was elected to the London County Council as a Municipal Reform Party councillor representing Wandsworth, Putney until 16 February 1940, when he resigned. He died at his Sussex home in 1956, aged 86.
