  • TIE PWNZOR
rdfs:comment
  • The TIE PWNZOR was a modified T.I.E. starfighter that used technology from the Eta-3 Jadis-class light TIE starfighter and other early Imperial designs. Designed by Radar Spectros for use by the 1337 N00B5 around 4 BBY, the TIE PWNZOR was used exclusively by Jett Worrap's elite squadron, as it was the most advanced fighter in the 1337 N00B5 fleet at that time. It was armed with two ion cannons and two laser cannons, with considerable shield power and speed. When the 1337 N00B5 joined the Rebel Alliance, Ace Squadron gained access to one of these fighters.

Little is known about the history of the TIE PWNZOR, but it is known that they were designed using stolen Imperial technology, incorporating features from various 1337 N00B5 ships by Radar Spectros' mechanical skills. Like most TIE designs, the fighter had a ball cockpit suspended between two "wings," and was stripped of various features such as life support systems and cargo bays to increase speed and maneuverability. Unlike most TIE variants, it was equipped with a shield generator and an astromech droid, both inherited from the Eta-3. It was also armed with four concussion missiles, as they used the modules from a T.I.E. starfighter. At the time of its conception, the 1337 N00B5 had been suffering from the aftermath of the Battle of Sector 9 and the Empire's subsequent half-hearted attempts to track them down. The 1337 fleets were small compared to what they boasted before, and their goals were much less focused, leading to some small desertions and exploitations by crimelords such as Tyber Zann and Jabba the Hutt. The TIE PWNZOR was said to be designed as part of a campaign to unify the 1337 N00B5 as they had been before, a goal that was met with moderate success. With Ilmar Grmek orchestrating the capture of necessary Imperial technology, the 1337 N00B5 conducted a series of heists and raids on lightly-guarded Imperial factories and facilities. The fighter was rather successful, vastly outperforming the Imperial TIE fighters, though their expensive design led to only a total of twelve fighters being in existence at any given time. The TIE PWNZOR, being an exclusive 1337 N00B5 design (one of the only craft that fit that description, next to the L-96 Repulsor Gunboat), was never given an "official" designation, though the 1337 N00B5 all referred to it in 1337 as the TIE PWNZOR. It is said that it is called the TIE PWNZOR both because it was a TIE variant that "PWNs" and because it could "PWN" TIE fighters. When the 1337 N00B5 joined the Rebel Alliance, Ace Squadron gained access to one of these fighters.
