The novel told the story of two characters associated with the factions Templar and Cabalist. The story takes place 20 years before the time of the video game. The second novel, called Goetia was released on February 26th of 2008. Goetia takes 14 years before the time of the video game. The third novel, Covenant was repleased in August 26, 2008. Covenant takes 13 years before the time of Hellgate London was released. The central conflict is about how the boy Simon Cross will find his lottle puppy before the "bad men" take him away.
