He was the maternal grandfather of Sarek and the great-grandfather of Spock and Sybok. In 2123, after T'Rama was observed befriending a young Jonathan Archer, Supek and his wife decided to return the family to Vulcan. Supek understood the emotional nature of humans and harbored no ill will against Jonathan for what happened, but Supek believed that T'Rama might develop an emotional nature from her friendship with Jonathan.
