| abstract | - On October 15, 2628, the Executive Committee of the Baltusian Democratic Party selected Chase Kaj Moreno as the party leader. He had previously served as Deputy Leader under Theodora Elrod. He seleced Cyril Gist as his Deputy Leader. He was the first man to lead the party in 46 years, since June 12, 2582, the day Richard Aylesworth resigned. At the age of 19, Moreno was one of Baltusia's youngest leaders. Many saw him as a man who could bring hope and restore honest politics back into the nation, however, others saw him as someone who only wanted power. Because of this, Steven Truss spoke with Democratic members of the federal legislature and provincial legislatures. Although never proven, Truss gathered enough support to win the leadership over Moreno. Because of this, Moreno resigned only two months into his term, being replaced by Steven Truss.
