He worked part-time, but eventually took to drug abuse and crime on the side. In 145 ABY, he was convicted of theft of a speeder and drug charges and sentenced to two years in Szenjupendri Prison. Tough enough to handle himself against most other Mezzels, Mylosh nonetheless tried to avoid conflict. In prison, he took advantage of various educational opportunities Szenjupendri offered, completing his secondary studies and drug rehabilitation. He made a point to avoid prison gangs and trouble with guards, despite the rising number of violent incidents in Szenjupendri, and began to look forward to life outside as 147 ABY began. In that year, he received a Doloy cellmate who called himself "Kraffin". Though suspicious of Kraffin's questions about the gangs and the violence, Mylosh became more open after Kraffin saved him from a bloodthirsty Zyked prisoner. The two became friends, and Mylosh shared his hopes and dreams for life after Szenjupendri. As his parole date neared, Mylosh found himself growing less patient and more combative, and engaged in fights with other prisoners. He could not explain the changes to Kraffin, and grew violently defensive when the Doloy pressed him for answers. Warden Mondol Ens had the incidents investigated and began procedures to terminate Roxxa's parole and confine him for another year. Before the order could go through, Kraffin—revealing himself as Centurion Baylis Scytha—arrested Ens with the help of Menina Robraso and Kylaea Porén. In the prison riot that followed, many of the corrupt guards who had been upholding Ens's regime were killed, as were several prisoners before the Centurions finally restored order. When it became clear that Ens had deliberately been drugging prisoners to make them more violent in a deal with Quisher Realty and Development, LLC, Baylis testified on Mylosh's behalf with the Ministry of Justice's review board. Based on the corruption scandal and Scytha's testimony, Mylosh's parole was reinstated. In his second chance, Mylosh found work at a dock. He was an active member of Szenjupendri Survivors for Reform in its first years, though he drifted away after the primary abuses had been addressed. Mylosh began dating another Mezzel, and the two had a pair of younglings by 155 ABY. That year, Baylis returned to Mezlagob, this time seeking information on the violent swoop gang Afterburn. Mylosh, who had long considered Baylis a friend (despite being unable to shake the habit of calling him "Kraffin"), pointed the Doloy in the right direction. Knowing Baylis intended to rout the gang, Mylosh assembled a group of friends and other Szenjupendri survivors to come to the Centurion's aid. They shot down four Afterburn members trying to escape; Baylis "deputized" them to lend their actions a pretense of legality and covered for them with the authorities. When Mylosh and his girlfriend had their third child, a boy, they agreed to name him Kraffin Roxxa.
