Otter Effects created the "High-tech computers, aiming and sighting devices and set dressing." for Aliens. Additionally, Reed made the Motion Tracker props used in both the film and the 1995 book Aliens: Colonial Marines Technical Manual, the latter of which was made by Reed for Lawrence Nathan of Fiction & Fantasy Models in early 1990.
