  • The UNSC Flight Cadet School, abbreviated FCS, was a training area on Mars dedicated to recruits of the UNSC Air Force, training them in piloting the UNSC's various aircraft, including but not limited to Pelican and Albatross dropships and Skyhawk fighters. It included two different training programs; first the Airman School, which trained prospects for the air force into non-comissioned roles, and second the Flight Officer School, which trained airmen into officers. Ronald Church attended the FCS despite his young age, thanks to bribing several seemingly corrupt UNSC officers on his homeworld (although in reality they were Office of Naval Intelligence operatives dedicated to having him enlist in the UNSC because of his superior physical characteristics), in order to escape the path his family had staked out for him. In a short amount of time, Ronald completed the Airman School program with top grades.
