Ronald Church attended the FCS despite his young age, thanks to bribing several seemingly corrupt UNSC officers on his homeworld (although in reality they were Office of Naval Intelligence operatives dedicated to having him enlist in the UNSC because of his superior physical characteristics), in order to escape the path his family had staked out for him. In a short amount of time, Ronald completed the Airman School program with top grades.
