When Peter began attending Hogwarts, he was very introverted and shy with low self-esteem. He became best friends with Emily Powell, whom he came to have a crush on but was too shy to act on it. For the first four years of school, Peter was fairly overweight and average-looking at best, but the summer before his fifth year, after having a huge argument with Emily, lost a lot of weight and completely transformed his physique. After returning for his fifth year, Peter joined the Quidditch team as a Keeper and became friends with his teammates Amos Diggory and Hadrian Truman. Peter and Emily eventually reconciled and began dating. After graduating from Hogwarts, Peter and Emily married, having two children; Jace Hadrian and Kayla Emily Pettigrew. He became an Auror and would serve in the department with distinction until his retirement in 2010.
