| abstract | - Start with a description of your trope. Try to explain what the trope means in about two or three sentences. It's best if you can make it clear and concise. If you can make it witty too, that's great but try not to force it. Put the extended definition here. Have fun, tell us about Real Life facts about your trope or other interesting information about it. Try not to make it too long. Essays can go in the Analysis Namespace. See also other tropes that are related to your trope. Here, put information about your trope's Super Tropes, Sister Tropes, Sub Tropes, and any other Tropes that can be compared or contrasted. * Use bullets to list your examples from media.
* There's not strict formula for examples, but try to have the title of the work visible near the beginning.
* Try to keep the examples brief, but have enough information so that the reader understands how the trope is being used.
* If you're going to put multiple examples from a single series, put the series title here...
* ...then put the examples themselves on a nested bullet point.
* Don't use nested bullets for only one example though.
* There shouldn't be a need for third-level bullet the grand majority of the time. Check to see if it isn't just Natter.
* Also, having only one thing at an indentation level is just wrong.
* Sometimes dialogue may be quoted in an example. Use the following template:
* Avoid Word Cruft.
* About Rhetorical Questions.
* Make sure you're Handling Spoilers well.
* It's better to have a red link for a work page that hasn't been created yet than no link at all. Of course, make sure you're spelling the work name right.
