For the last two years, Austrian champion Superfund Bulls Kapfenberg has taken on a project that can only be described as a tall order to fill. The club's Big Men Academy is a basketball school totally devoted to scouting sizable young men and developing them into elite basketball players. Bulls head coach Michael Schrittweiser and an assistant who specializes in working with tall players, Midhat Kamenica, offer prospects on-site educational studies, personal training programs and something top European clubs often cannot, first-division playing time. Their first tall prospect was Aleksandar Djuric (21, 210), who arrived in Kapfenberg at age 16, tall and athletic, but with few basketball skills.
