Villaseñor later moved to feature films. In the 1970s, he worked as an assistant to editor Byron "Buzz" Brandt on such films as Across 110th Street (1972) and Breakheart Pass (1975). The latter featured David Huddleston, Jill Ireland, Roy Jenson, and Ed Lauter in the cast, and was scored by Jerry Goldsmith.
