We were looking for the other cats that had disappeared. Now we were the ones gone. I clawed the hairless furball across his bald, pink face and leaped. Luckily my sister followed. But, instead of being in our beloved misty gorge, we were on a totally different thing: a Twoleg 'boat'. It was huge, and we huddled together under a door. ******************* After days and days of agonizing hunger and boat-sickness, we made it. We docked on the half-bridge. But we were lost. Instead of the usual clean, if not a bit misty air, we were greeted by horrible smoke. Boats were everywhere, and there was no forest to be found. There was only the terrible mist and heavy, hot air. We found our way into a large, Twoleg building, almost as high as our gorge. We snuck into a small room and found her. A large, female Twoleg, if not slightly overweight, with a male and two female kits, was singing softly to her offspring. I was strangely attracted to her lovely voice, not harsh like most Twolegs, and started to meow the high notes. She looked up, and reached over to us. She massaged me with her great hand, and took us. And that's how I ended up here, on a boat with my Twolegs and songs.
