  • The Hallows was located on the fourth level of the city and was built on the shoulder of the hill and was completely walled. It could be approached from the sixth level of the city by following the Fen Hollen down onto Rath Dínen (The Silent Street) where lay the site of the Hallows. It was about five-hundred feet in length and two-hundred and fifty feet wide. The Hallows were the location of the House of the Kings and House of the Stewards, which were independent houses of burial. Aragorn II Elessar was laid to rest here in the tradition of the Kings, as well as the Hobbits Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took, both faithful members of the Fellowship of the Ring.
