He now plays for HC Fassa in Italy's Serie A. He played junior hockey for Ceske Budejovice and the Hull Olympiques from 1992 to 1996 and played for the Czech Republic in the 1996 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. The Los Angeles Kings picked him 215th overall in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He turned pro with the Mississippi Sea Wolves in 1996-97 and got into 7 games for the Kings over two seasons, scoring one goal. After spending long periods of time in the minor pros in North America, Nemececk moved back to Europe in 2000. Nemecek first joined the Nurnberg Ice Tigers in Germany for two seasons and then played in Sweden and his native Czech Republic. After a season in Italy and one in Denmark Nemecek settled in with Ritten Renon in the Italian Serie A.
