El juego consiste en un argumento amplio. Un día, estaban los Ham-Hams jugando al aire libre en Pico Sol, y Lacitos ve un gran arco iris, y llama a Hamtaro y a Manchitas para que lo vean. El arco iris desaparece, dejando triste a Lacitos, Hamtaro y Manchitas van a ver que pasó, y ven a un Ham-Ham (El príncipe Arco) cayendo del cielo y aterriza sobre Jefazo, llaman a Lacitos y llevan a Jefazo y al príncipe Arco al Ham-Ham Club. Cuando se recuperan y cuentan lo que pasó, Arco intenta volver a su casa, usando su paraguas colorido que le permite crear arco iris, ¡Pero los colores de su paraguas han desaparecido! Y así, Hamtaro y sus amigos Ham-Ham, deben hacer todo un viaje a diferentes zonas para encontrar elementos con los colores del arco iris para que el paraguas de Arco vuelva a funcionar y pueda volver a casa.
