abstract | - Jolyon Palmer (born 20 January 1991) is a British Formula One driver who drives for Renault. He won the 2014 GP2 Series championship by 47 points, a result which earned him his testing role with Lotus for 2015. Jolyon is the son of former F1 driver/commentator Jonathan Palmer. After a season of testing, the Enstone-based outfit announced at the 2015 United States Grand Prix that Palmer would take over Romain Grosjean's recently vacated race seat for 2016. At his sixteenth Grand Prix, in Malaysia, Palmer scored his first ever point. __TOC__
