  • In TEW terms, these are the things that happen on shows that aren’t matches. That includes interviews, sneak attacks, videos, etc.
  • An angle is a two-dimensional geometric figure that consists of two rays with a common starting point. Measures of angles are often used with circles and trigonometry.
  • Angle is a character in Muffin the Vampire Baker (Story). Angle is a hundreds of years old vampire and Muffin the Vampire Baker's boyfriend. He discovers a way to become mortal and be with Muffin, but is staked by Sam Sein before he can use it. Angle is a parody of Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

  • In the Doom engine, angles are used to describe directions, such as which way a character or object is facing. Internally, angles are kept as 32-bit unsigned values, with zero representing east (to the right of the map). Increasing values represent angles increasing counterclockwise, using the full range of 32-bit unsigned values to represent one full circle. Thus, north is represented (in hex) by 4000 0000, west by 8000 0000, and south by C000 0000. Northeast (45 degrees) is 2000 0000. Note that angle values can be added and subtracted, and the results will be automatically normalized—they will be between zero and one full circle because unsigned arithmetic is performed modulo the 32-bit word size.
  • In professional wrestling, an angle is a fictional storyline which is practiced and rehearsed several times. The scope and variety of angles vary widely. An angle may be as small as a single match or a vendetta that lasts for years. In addition, an angle may be a part of a feud, or a feud part of an angle. Angles may often lead from one to another. The term angle implies an insight into a wrestler's gimmick; however, the term dates back from when wrestling was a touring carnival sideshow, so this is unlikely.
  • An angle is the distance between two intersecting lines when traveling circularly from one to the other. It is a central concept in the fields of mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry. It is measured using degrees, 360 of which completing a full circle. One variable in transporter operation was the angle of dispersion. In 2267, Captain James T. Kirk ordered the entity known as Redjac, inhabiting the body of Mr. Hengist, to be beamed out into deep space with the widest angle of dispersion possible. (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold" )

"Novosloviensky" and "Slovianski", on the other hand, have joined together as "INTERSLAVIC" or "MEDŽUSLOVJANSKI" - each offering a slightly different grammatical format. The term angle implies an insight into a wrestler's gimmick; however, the term dates back from when wrestling was a touring carnival sideshow, so this is unlikely. During a wrestler's career, he may take part in very many angles, which are often inconsistent, implausible and reused from one wrestler to the next (see kayfabe). It is not uncommon to see an angle become retconned due to it not getting over with the fans, or if one of the wrestlers currently involved in the angle is released from his contract.

Note that angle values can be added and subtracted, and the results will be automatically normalized—they will be between zero and one full circle because unsigned arithmetic is performed modulo the 32-bit word size. The 32 bits can be considered as a fraction of a circle, that is, as a binary fraction with an implied binary point at the far left. Also, if an angle value is considered as a signed quantity, then negative values represent rotation in the opposite (clockwise) direction. An angle value can be compressed easily, by shifting bits off the right. Thus, angles in WAD files are given as short (16-bit) values (byte-swapped due to the little endian format). These values are expanded (shifted left 16 bits) during loading. The trigonometric functions (sine, cosine and tangent) are implemented using straight table lookups. The angle value is compressed by shifting right 19 bits (resulting in a value between zero and 8191), and then this value is used to index into a pre-computed table that is 8192 values long. (The details for tangent are slightly different.) The accuracy is quite adequate for gameplay and the compute time is nearly negligible. Note that shifting right 19 bits truncates the angle value by no more than 360/8192 = 0.044 degrees.
