Synopsis
  • --03-14
  • An ancient God has come back and threatens to lead a village, or kill those who do not follow his wishes. Bomba investigates, as he believes the masked foe is merely a phony magician. Reprinted from .
  • In a small town, someone has stolen the village's bell and murdered the bell-ringer. The murderer is after a map to a gold mine which is carved inside the bell. The local townspeople believe it's the act of a nearby tribe of headhunters. Congo Bill investigates with the headhunters pleading their innocence. Reprinted from .
  • Carlton Meade is murdered, and Bobo finds his missing will and solves the case. Reprinted from .
  • Korak discovers a giant silver capsule in the jungle. When the mysterious cylinder opens, Vrodinn, the Ancient One, steps out. The two introduce one another and become companions. Meanwhile, a hunting crew, hidden from view, are witnesses to the new friendship. They quickly grab them both. Korak tries to escape, but the men fire their rifles at him. He's able to kick them all into a boiling fire pit. After the confrontation, the Ancient One goes back inside his capsule, wondering if the world will ever be without violence.
  • A text article about Charles Darwin and ERB's "missing links" in the chain of evolution: Ant-Men, Ape-Men, Beast-Men, etc...
  • A film crew is on location in Africa. The lead male star is kidnapped by the Bansuto Tribe, but he's soon rescued by Tarzan. Meanwhile, two women on the set are kidnapped by pirates. The pirates believe the film caravan is hunting for real diamonds and they want the treasure map. The women escape their captors by horse, but one of them is attacked by a lion as the other is able to gallop away. Tarzan visits the film set and is told of the woman's kidnapping. However, the crew believes Tarzan is really their lead actor, Stanley Obroski, as they share a striking likeness of each other. During the jungle night, the stand-in actress, who was attacked by the lion earlier, has become lost. She climbs up a high rock only to be confronted by several English speaking apes who seize her. To be continued. Adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel, TARZAN AND THE LION MAN.
