The empire, based in the Punjab region. Before Ranjit Singh's reign, the Sikh nation was made up of twelve Sikh sovereign states of the Sikh Confederacy. In 1799, he, of the sovereign state of Sukerchakia, took over the rest of the sovereign states and established the Sikh Kingdom of Khalistan and became the first Maharajah. Unlike in the OTL were he died in 27 June 1839, Maharajah Ranjit Singh lived to fight the East India Company and the British Empire, and defeat them decisively.
